Makenna decided after 3 years of growing her hair out that she was ready for a change. Once she heard about "Locks of Love" there was no changing her mind. Our neighbor Jana Nordfelt has a salon in her house and said she would do it. She cut 12 inches off (yikes!)Makenna absolutely loves it! I think it's adorable on her too but I am still a little sad that my baby girl is old enough to want big girl hair instead of braids and pigtails.

Cute Mak! Love it! Caitlin will be so excited to see you and your new do! I think you both have the same length of hair now! We will be down to visit in a couple of weeks, and the girls cannot wait to see you!

Dayna she looks adorable! Kaitlyn is starting to get out of the "little girl" stage too and I'm kinda worried cuz I'm not sure how to handle the older girls!
I'm so proud of her for wanting to donate her hair to locks of love. I had really long hair when I was younger, like Makenna's, and when I got it cut I begged my mom to let me donate it to locks of love and she wouldn't let me!! Can you believe that? She wanted me to save it, so now we still have it in a box and her house just sitting there not being used. Maybe I'll have to go and steal it back from her.
So way to go Makenna and way to go Dayna for letting her give her own hair away!! (can you tell there's still a hint of bitterness still brewing?) I still love my mom.

Ummm, so I too donated to the locks of love as did Melissa. There is just nothing like knowing that you are doing something to help someone else with something they can't do for themselves. I am super proud of your cute little Makenna.
